Sony Pictures Pay up after Employees’ Personal Data is Lost

Sony Pictures is going to have to cough up a pretty penny, having agreed to fork over up to $8 million to settle a class-action lawsuit from employees in 2014, after the major hacking attack from North Korea put their personal identity at risk, the 8 million is going to be divided amongst employs and lawyers, where 3.5 million is going to the lawyers.

The hacking included identity thefts as well as personal and other information of the employees. The hacking was done in retaliation to the movie The Interview. A judge will check out the deal to make sure it’s fair to all involved.
